Animal Agriculture: A Hidden Culprit in Climate Change

With wildfires raging, flooding increasing, and heatwaves becoming commonplace, there’s an urgent need to address the drivers of climate change. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, livestock farming accounts for about 14.5% of all greenhouse gas emissions, that’s comparable to the emissions from all the cars, trucks, airplanes, and ships combined worldwide.

If everyone went vegan, global farmland use could be reduced by 75%, an area equivalent to the size of the US, China, Australia, and the EU combined. This could play a critical role in mitigating climate change, preserving habitats, and preventing species extinction.
